A filmmaker's film shoot is canceled, and he sets off in search of what remains of it, elsewhere, accompanied by another actor. What they seek together is no longer just a film, but a reflection on the stories that are forbidden and those that are reclaimed. Through their exchanges, the boundary between cinema and life blurs, and the film becomes a space of intimate resistance, where thinking, desiring, and speaking are one and the same.

It is winter in a suburban town on the outskirts of Paris. After his father’s suicide attempt, Abdou, a young boy, is taken in by Sam, a neighbor in his thirties who isn’t quite sure what to do with his life. Over the course of an evening, these two lost souls meet and reconnect with their roots. A strange, sand-colored dog pays them a visit.

Tomas and Martin are a gay couple living in Paris whose marriage is thrown into crisis when Tomas impulsively begins a passionate affair with young schoolteacher Agathe. But when Martin begins an affair of his own, Tomas must confront life decisions he may be unprepared—or unwilling—to deal with.

Lucas is a 17-year-old gay teenager coping with the sudden and unexpected death of his father in an accident that may or may not have been suicide. He views his life as a wild animal in need of taming. Between a brother settled in Paris and a mother with whom he now lives alone, Lucas will have to fight to rediscover hope and love.
